Welcome to the Baby Boomers Blueprint!

If you are starting to peek around the edges of retirement, or want to THRIVE and not just survive in these unsure economic times (regardless of your age), I created this site for YOU.

You see, I’m now in the category of an “active boomer” as I’m sure many of you are.  I plan to live a very long time, and want to enjoy what I’m doing ~ not to mention that will require making my money last as long as me!  At this stage in my life working needs to fulfill a number of needs such as:

• Contributing back to the world, doing my part to make it better;
• Seeing my kids become successful in whatever endeavour they choose;
• More time to spend with my kids, family and my personal interests;
• Travel when and where I’d like ~ to open my mind to other cultures and always continue learning and;
• Of course, generate enough income to be able to do all of those things

Because of these things, I reevaluated my career mid-stream and came up with some very interesting alternatives.  As a small business owner since 2001, I know the power of being your own boss. I also know there are only so many hours in the day… so leveraging your time is critical. (Don’t let the bike & casual attire fool you — I’m very serious about my business & working with other professionals. I just happen to love to ride as well, and now have the time!)

• One mistake people with “secure jobs” make, is thinking they will be taken care of by the pension, retirements, and benefits without any risk. This used to be the case, but not anymore.  (Being dependent on a job that could disappear tomorrow)

• I don’t know about you, but I refuse to have a “wait & see” mentality.  I want to plan my future to not be dependent on Social Security and Medicare (if it’s still there, then great ~ icing on the cake.  But what if it’s not….)

So this site will provide YOU with information about the alternatives I have found that are allowing me to live on my terms and not live in fear of the future.  I will share with YOU what it takes to start and grow an honest legitimate home-based business in Network marketing on the Internet. I will share business tools and resources that I personally use, while also providing educational information and marketing techniques.

I hope the information proves to be useful to you, and would appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have for improvement.  My goal is to make this site relevant, so you want to Bookmark it and pass along to friends. Another way for me to “give back” to the community at large, as there are many people struggling out there and looking for alternatives.

And for you ladies, I’d like to especially draw your attention to some key points:

Did you know….

• That we may have spent fewer years in the workforce (which affected both our earning power and resources to save) and yes, in mainstream America women still earn less than men. Approximately 79 cents on the dollar. (So, have you thought of starting your own business yet…..)

• That statistically we’re more likely to live in poverty as we age than men?  We also live an average of 7 years longer.  (You can change that statistic of living in poverty by educating yourself financially and taking action.…)

• That about 80% of women die single.  This means at some point in your life you will need to handle ALL of the finances if you aren’t already.  (No time like the present to get prepared, and at a minimum start supplementing your current income….)

Of course all of that being said, there has been a BIG shift in roles over the last 10 years …. (which is no surprise to us Boomers who have been a part of this change……)

• Women are the head of 40% of all households
• 70% of all new businesses are started by women
• 90% of American women have “veto” power over consumer purchases in their household (sorry guys….) plus,
• 65% of all cars are purchased by women

You get what I am saying, many of you are already out there and taking control of your future ~ and I admire those of you who are!  (Of course this isn’t meant to imply doing it alone ~ your spouse can be your greatest cheerleader!)  I hope you continue to educate yourself by embracing change, associate with like-minded people, and becoming the leader inside of you.  Go out and make a difference!
