<p><strong>This weeks ABC is O for <a class="zem_slink" title="Search engine optimization" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization">Organic SEO</a></strong> ~ If expensive online campaigns are not your style, then you might like to check out Organic SEO which allows you to build a digital presence without breaking the bank.  Content driven, contextual promotion requires a bit of patience but has a long lasting impact on your online endeavour.  Organic SEO is a combination of high quality content, through articles, <a href="http://www.1888pressrelease.com/tips-to-write-press-release.html" target="_blank"><strong>press releases,</strong></a> <a class="zem_slink" title="Blog" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog">blogs</a>, (commenting &amp; posting), video <a class="zem_slink" title="Marketing" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing">marketing</a>, <a href="http://twitter.com/milliondestiny" target="_blank"><strong>Twitter</strong></a>…. I think you get the idea – it is when your name and/or brand over time “go viral”and show up naturally in the <a class="zem_slink" title="Web search engine" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_search_engine">search engines</a>.  Good keyword usage is critical.  This method takes longer than Google campaigns, but it is very effective over time.</p>

<p>I have been on a number of calls, webinars, teleseminars&#8230;. you name it, over the last month where the discussions loop back around to whether <a class="zem_slink" title="Affiliate marketing" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affiliate_marketing">affiliate marketing</a> is going to survive the &#8220;new way&#8221; Google is allowing adwords to be used within their system. There are many who think it&#8217;s going to be incredibly tough going, including <a href="http://www.perrymarshall.com/death-of-affiliate-marketing/" target="_blank"><strong>Perry Marshall and Amit Mehta. </strong></a></p>
<p>However, I just read a terrific rebuttal by <a href="http://www.benmoskel.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Ben Moskel</strong></a>.  A couple of things he points out are:</p>
<ul>
<li>Most affiliates that are being banned have been promoting biz-opps that have &#8220;Google&#8221; in the name of the product</li>
<li>The lawyers of Google have told the company to crack down or they will lose the foothold of protecting their brand</li>
<li>Google still sells adspace to affiliate <a class="zem_slink" title="Marketing" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing">marketers</a> who are selling <span id="more-394"></span> a product or service other than a &#8220;biz-opp&#8221;, and he provides examples of who some of them are</li>
<li>He also discusses the approaches that he&#8217;s used effectively &#8211; so go take a look at <a href="http://www.perrymarshall.com/rebirth-affiliate-marketing/" target="_blank"><strong>www.perrymarshall.com/</strong></a></li>
</ul>
<p>Then, please come back and tell me what you think!  I&#8217;d love to hear your perspective&#8230;.</p>

<p>Have you heard of a relatively new company, <a href="http://www.leapfish.com" target="_blank"><strong>Leapfish.com</strong></a>?  I hadn&#8217;t until I received a call from one of their sales people the other day.  They do what he termed as <strong>&#8220;search site aggregation&#8221;</strong>.  He showed me how they consolidate information from multiple sources such as <a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank"><strong>Google</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.yahoo.com" target="_blank"><strong>Yahoo</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.msn.com" target="_blank"><strong>MSN</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.amazon.com" target="_blank"><strong>Amazon</strong></a> &amp; <a href="http://www.ebay.com" target="_blank"><strong>Ebay</strong></a>, in addition to social sites such as <a href="http://www.youtube.com" target="_blank"><strong>YouTube</strong></a> and blogs.</p>
<p><strong>It was powerful.</strong> Of course, he wanted to sell me &#8220;keywords&#8221; which I&#8217;d become the owner of on their search site.  <strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>My questions </strong>-</p>
<ul>
<li>do you use them as a search site?</li>
<li>How are they advertising to get traffic?</li>
<li>Will there be a one month ROI or a 2 year?  &#8211; I know it will depend on the keyword(s)</li>
<li>Do any of you have experience (positive or negative) with them?</li>
</ul>
<p>Please leave a comment, I&#8217;d love to hear from you about this!</p>
<p>Until next time,  J.<br />
