This weeks ABC is L for LinkedIn ~ Yet another Web 2.0 property, LinkedIn has managed to create the image of being a very serious referral portal especially for job seekers and recruiters. LinkedIn might not be as much fun as Facebook, but it is serious business for professionals and that is why it has managed to get on to the top of the social media ladder. If you are a professional, like to keep in touch with other professionals and share common interests, then a profile on LinkedIn is a must.

Looked at it long ago and decided it wasn’t for me. My profession really isn’t something I enjoy talking much about so don’t care to discuss it in my off hours. I don’t FB either, not into the games. Seems like one could spend so much time on these sites you wouldn’t have time to blog, and I much prefer that. I like blogging, reading and commenting. Seems far more substantive to me than twitter, or a line here there on someone’s wall.
