What Free Analytic Software Do You Use?

Posted by Janet Giacoma On October - 22 - 2009

This weeks ABC is G for Google Analytics -  Love it. Hate it. But most online marketers cannot do without it. Google Analytics offers one of the strongest, free analytics software which can be implemented quite easily on web sites and helps track user behaviour. Most small to medium businesses use Google Analytics to measure the result of their online marketing activities.  (If you’re not, you should.)  The online website is very simple to use and has a low learning curve. There are many free tutorials also available on Google Analytics especially when it comes to understanding the facts and figures it displays.

Come back next week for more ABC’s of Online Marketing!

I have used couple of free analytics like Woopra, Google Analytics, SiteInformation and FeedJit. All of these have their own style of data presentation, collection and analysis.

I personally like Google Analytics because of its online nature, light weight with no client installation, regular enhancements and extensibility and API access. Plus I get what I am looking for from Analytical tool for a cost “Free”. Of course I am not able to integrate it with other tools. But I am satisfied with it.

  2. I use Google analytics, and for another blog I use histats.com. I like histats because of their detailed report and their interface
